RAM Pickups Recall: A Must Read

If you have yet to hear, Chrysler, parent of RAM Trucks, recently announced the recall of around 47,000 RAM 1500 full-size pickups and RAM 4500/500 heavy-duty pickups due to the fact that they may have ESC software and track bar issues.

Chrysler explains the issue as follows for the 1500 model: "A disabled ESC system may result in loss of directional control, increasing the risk of a crash."1 Of course, Chrysler is extremely concerned about this situation, and if you bring in your affected truck (after receiving a letter of recall), our RAM service center will be happy to updated your ESC module software at no cost to you.

The 1,058 RAM 4500 and 5500 heavy-duty trucks recalled are due to the fact that "an incorrect bolt may have been used to attach the track bar to the frame"2, which could lead to the vehicle pulling to one side suddenly. Owners will be contacted if their trucks are affected, and of course, you can bring your pickup by and have us replace the track bar fasteners at no charge.

To learn more information or to get your questions answered we urge you to contact our professional service team at Hastings Chrysler Center by calling, (888) 475-5568.
